release of the Cinema 4D R20 marks a huge leap in technology,
introducing a huge new framework that gives you a huge boost to your
creative hands – it's time to unleash your creativity and endless
possibilities.
[Cinema 4D Release 20's main highlights include]Node Material – Provides new possibilities for creating materials with simple to complex shaders by using the Node Editor. With more than 150 different function nodes to choose from, artists can easily create complex shading effects by combining nodes to increase creative flexibility. To get started, new users who are new to the node material workflow can still rely on the Cinema 4D standard material editor user interface to automatically create the corresponding node material in the background. Node material can also be packaged as an asset, and user-defined parameters are exposed in an interface similar to the Cinema 4D Classic Material Editor.MoGraph Domain – The new capabilities of our industry-leading program animation toolset provide a new way to define effect strength by combining attenuation – from simple shapes to shaders, or sounds, objects and formulas. Artists can stratify domains and remap their effects using standard blending modes. Use multiple domain groups together to control effects, deformers, weights, and more.CAD Data Import – Directly import mainstream CAD formats directly into the Cinema 4D R20 with a simple drag and drop operation. Adjust object detail with a unique scale-based tessellation interface to create stunning visualizations. Supports STEP, Solidworks, JT, Catia V5 and IGES formats.Volume Modeling – Use the Cinema 4D R20 OpenVDB-based volume generator and mesh generator and create complex models by adding or subtracting basic shapes in Boolean type operations. Use any Cinema 4D object (including new domain objects) to build a programmed organism or hard surface. Volumes can be exported in .vdb sequence format for use in any OpenVDB-enabled application or rendering engine.ProRender Enhancements – ProRender in the Cinema 4D R20 extends the GPU rendering toolset with features such as subsurface scattering, motion blur and multi-channel.
